What makes me happy...

So my Wild Salmon adventures have been making try lots of new things, including sweet potato leek soup.
Baked potatoes and zucchini (from my garden) with oilve oil and herbs.Another of Norm's wild Salmon steaks! (I got help from Jim on this one)
Every morning Miles and I have some bonding time.
He helps me with my morning chores. We pick some veggies and let the chickens out while I weed the garden and feed the "pets".
I love picking the veggies and popping them in my mouth.
I always think of my Dad when I eat the green beans and my mom when I see my tomatoes because she was always canning them.
My friend gave me the best stuffed banana pepper recipe, so I think of her when I see
my peppers.
My cucumbers are looking great because of my sister Elizabeth's suggestion. I love having them growing up. I think I will do it will all of them next year!
Gardening and cooking have turned into things that make me happy because I get to spend time teaching my girls to cook with me and reflect on all the people that I love.

  1. Sooo jealous of your garden! Cooking has become relaxing for me too! Funny how that works... guess it takes having a lot of little mouths to feed! HA! :)
