Eleven years ago I held my sweet Savannah, and nothing has been the same since. I was rarely able to take a shower without her screaming just as I put the shampoo in my hair, I listened to the John Denver Wildlife Concert at least a million times (It was the only thing that would calm the colic!), I always had an extra outfit for both of us (I never knew what end was going to explode), and I am pretty sure, when I visited family I brought as much stuff for the two of us as I now bring for all six of my kids! Would I change a thing, never (well maybe a few things I did). She has inspired me, stretched (and is still stretching) me, taught me, and made me look at life in a way I never thought possible! I know it all sounds cliche, maybe it is, but that is what kids do for you, make you want to be a better person. Thank you Savannah. I love you.
